ANTIBODY PRIMARY DATAi

The primary data page shows the detailed antibody staining in 76 different cell types for each analyzed antibody. In addition, for each cell type, a knowledge-based annotated protein expression score based on all analyzed antibodies is displayed furthest to the right. The images and annotations can be accessed by clicking on the tissue name or score bar. More information can be found in Assays & Annotation.

The tissues and cell types can be ordered by organ, cell type or alphabetically. If ordered by organ, the tissues are presented in groups according to functional features. If ordered by cell type, the cells are presented in groups related to origin.

For histological reference, visit the histological dictionary.

Tissue Antibody stainingi

This score describes the level of antibody staining observed in the annotated cell types as not detected (n), low (l), medium (m) or high (h). It is based on the staining intensity and fraction of stained cells. The images and annotations can be accessed by clicking on the tissue name or score bar. More information can be found in Assays & Annotation.

Annotated protein expressioni

This score describes a knowledge-based best estimate of the protein expression in the annotated cell types as not detected (n), low (l), medium (m) or high (h). It is a result of stringent evaluation of immunohistochemical staining pattern, RNA data from internal and external sources and available protein/gene characterization data. More information can be found in Assays & Annotation.

Staining summaryi

Summarizing texts describe the staining pattern for each antibody based on staining intensity, fraction of stained cells and subcellular localization. More information can be found in Assays & Annotation.

HPA038748 Most of the normal cells displayed moderate to strong cytoplasmic immunoreactivity. The prostate, glial cells, lymphoid tissues, pancreatic islets and endometrial glands were weakly stained or negative.
HPA042595 Glandular cells of postmenopausal uterus, decidual cells of placenta and endothelial cells showed strong cytoplasmic positivity. Glomeruli of kidney, melanocytes and fraction of cells in seminiferous ducts of testis showed moderate cytoplasmic and occasional nuclear positivity. Remaining normal tissues were negative.
HPA043105 Strong cytoplasmic positivity was displayed in Purkinje cells and subset of cells in seminiferous ducts of testis. Neuronal cells of hippocampus, neuropil and peripheral nerve were moderately stained. Remaining normal tissues were negative.
HPA043692 Strong cytoplasmic and membranous positivity was observed in renal tubules. Hepatocytes and a subset of cells in stomach and seminiferous ducts showed moderate cytoplasmic staining. Remaining normal tissues were negative.
HPA044023 Cervix glands and a fraction of cells in squamous epithelium of tonsil and lung macrophages displayed strong membranous staining. Lung pneumocytes displayed moderate positivity. Squamous epithelium of oral mucosa and stomach showed moderate cytoplasmic staining while a subset of cells in seminiferus ducts showed strong positivity. Remaining normal tissues were weakly stained or negative.
HPA046971 Smooth muscle cells and mature spermatids in seminiferous ducts showed strong cytoplasmic positivity. Ovarian follicle cells, heart and skeletal myocytes were moderately stained. Cilia in respiratory epithelia displayed moderate positivity. Urothelium and cells in epididymis displayed weak nuclear immunoreactivity. Other normal tissues were in general negative.
HPA058050 Strong cytoplasmic positivity was displayed in intestinal glands along with subset of cells in seminiferous ducts of testis and umbrella cells of urinary bladder. Hepatocytes, renal tubules and myocytes were moderately stained. Decidual cells and gall bladder showed additional membranous staining. Remaining normal tissues were weakly stained or negative.
