Diffuse-synaptic and axonal immunostaining throughout the brain with variable intensities. Generally weak-moderate but it is strong in the lateral septum, nucleus accumbens shell, ventral pallidum, BNST, globus pallidus, preoptic area, hippocmapus, substantia nigra.
In addition, a subset of neurons exhibit somatic (cytoplasmic) immunostaining, like mitral cells in the olfactory bulb or some neurons in the neocortex layer IV-V.
